Vacation FAQs - Property Management of Hayward
To reserve a vacation home, we require a deposit of 1/2 the rent + $52.75 booking fee. We accept all major credit cards and checks. Once the deposit is received, a contract will be emailed for your signature. The remainder of rent + sales tax is due 21 days prior to your arrival. We also require credit card information 21 days prior to your arrival for the security deposit. If you reserve a cabin within 4 weeks of arrival, we do require payment in full at time of reservation.
A security deposit is monies that are held during your stay to cover any damages that may occur by the renter or renter’s guests. We run a credit card as a pre-authorization for a minimum of $500 on stays less than 1 week and for 1/2 the rent on 1 week + stays. This is processed on your credit card the day of arrival and held until the property has been inspected after your departure. If no damage occurs during your stay, we release the hold. If damage is found, you will be notified prior to any charges made on your credit card.
All of our properties have a fully equipped kitchen, are fully furnished, include all bedding (sheets, pillows, blankets), grills (charcoal or gas), fire pit areas and private docks. The cabins will have toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher detergent & trash bags. If you run out of the items during your stay, you will have to purchase your own for the rest of your stay.
We ask our guests to bring their own kitchen, bath & swimming towels and their own personal bath and laundry soap (where there is laundry facilities). Some properties do offer firewood for our guests use, however, most do not. If there is firewood at the cabin when you arrive, you are free to use, unless stated otherwise by the property owner. Properties with propane grills have 2 propane tanks, if they are out or low on propane when you arrive, it is the guests’ responsibility to fill or exchange. We do encourage our guests to replace what they use. Guests are required to purchase charcoal for charcoal grills. If there are watercraft provided with the property, we do require our guests to provide their own life jackets.
Yes, we have several properties that will allow your pets for an additional fee. The cost is $109.40/per week or $15/per night, per pet. We do not allow cats in any of our properties. Please take a look at our pet friendly properties and additional information on our pet rules. Additional refundable deposits may be required.
Yes, during the peak season, which is the months of June, July & August, we require a minimum stay of 1 week in all our properties. During the off-peak season, we do require a 2-3 night minimum stay, depending on the property you choose. Reservations that are less than 3 nights, are charged an additional cleaning fee. The cleaning fee varies depending on the property rented.
