Ask anyone who has been here before ... you always return ... again and again. It's a family tradition!

Our location is perfect ... just under 3 hours from the Twin Cities ... and around 6-7 from the Chicago area. Just close enough to be a day trip ... just far enough to really feel like you've gotten away.

We are a small town... with a rich history. We're famous for our beautiful lakes and abun""No more"; play ... play ... play ... there are no limits. Water sports, golf, off-road biking, hiking, cross country and downhill skiing - these are just a few of the things you will enjoy.

It would be a shame not to mention our world-class events... The American Birkebeiner Cross Country Ski Race (the largest race in North America, in February); Fishing Has No Boundaries (a fishing contest for the physically challenged, in May); Musky Festival (fishing contest, parade, carnival, crafts, food, in June); Lumberjack World Championships (top lumber sportsmen and women from all over the world compete for their titles, in July); Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival (cross country bicycle race, in September) ... anyway ... you get the idea. We are the place to be, anytime of the year.

We could write a volume of books on and about the Hayward area ... but the best thing to do is visit us. We're easy and convenient ... accommodating and social ... active, yet relaxing all at once.
